When the nation is grappling with such enormous corruption scams involving people from the politics, bureaucracy and the corporate world, Sachin stands tall by turning down a lucrative Rs 20 crore liquor endorsement deal. This indeed is a master restraint shown by the little master to even his fellow cricketers involved in match fixing scandals. When the need for heroes is so dire, we may have found someone who has the courage to do the right thing.These words of praise that; “Sachin, an idol to crores of youths has shown that he is a responsible citizen of the society and stuck to his principles by rejecting a huge amount” coming from a politician is a big Irony.
