JNU, Jadavpur Should Be Privatized
The recent incidents at JNU are different things to different people. To the leftist liberals, media, Communists and various India baiters, it was an assault on freedom of speech. While that is true, these people ignore the responsibility that comes with that freedom. Death threats, screaming fire in a crowded place, destruction of property or the country for that matter are not protected even in the freest of all societies. Therefore calling Narendra Modi fascist, “Maut ka Saudagar”, murderer etc. is permitted but calling for destruction of the private or national property which includes the nation itself are not protected.
On the other hand, we have the man in the street struggling with day to day issues of life. To this man J&K is low on his list and Afzal Guru was a terrorist, convicted and hung by a liberal government. This man sees the terrorists attack and kill our young soldiers. He sees soldiers dying on glaciers to protect the nation. To this person, food, shelter and safety means everything. To this man, the farmer, the soldier and contributors to the economy (workers and job-creators) mean more than the ideals of a terrorist like Afzal Guru.
Please do the following exercise. Ask the following question to the man in the street: Would you rather have an Engineering college like IITs, Medical colleges like AIIMS or liberal arts colleges like JNU? What do you think the order of preference would be? What kind of an institution does a man on the street want funded by his tax money?
American Ivy league universities have defended the rights of JNU students. Let us talk about these universities. Harvard is a bastion of left wing liberalism and model liberal arts institution. The likes of Noam Chomsky (he is at MIT) run riot at that place. The authority of the US government establishment if routinely flaunted. Columbia University hosted Ahmadinejad. Professor Pete Singer at Princeton University defends the right of parent to kill their children. However, these universities also produce great legal minds, leaders – political and business and extraordinary scientific discoveries. And they do it all without any money from the taxpayers. Since these institutions are private, they can do whatever they want of say what they want as long as they are being “responsible (no death threats or destruction of private or public property including the country)”. After all the American in the street may be disgusted by Professor Pete Singer but he can’t object to it because Singer is not on public payroll.
It is this distinction that makes JNU and Jadavpur University the hated places they are today. Their hero, Umar Khalid is doing a PhD in a subject that makes him unemployable anywhere except another institution like JNU – perpetuation of meaninglessness. Imagine a scenario. Khalid, Kanhaiya Kumar et.al. are protesting and calling Narendra Modi every name in the book. They are berating every institution in India. They are even mocking Hinduism (like Aamir Khan did in PK) but are not espousing division and destruction of the nation. Also imagine that JNU is privately funded. Do you think that there would be any outrage against JNU?
I think time has come to defund non-productive institutions where career PhD students take around close to a decade to finish their degree (which are of no economic value to the taxpayer) while on public largesse. They want to study philosophy or art then let them find leftist billionaires like an Indian George Soros and fund JNU or Jadavpur Univ. Let them become the Ivy League universities of India – productive, innovative and economically viable. Let them produce wealth creators who in turn donate large sums of money to their alma mater. After that JNU students can protest all they want (of course they still cannot espouse sedition).
Before some eager beaver jumps up and raises the point of educated Engineers who have studied on government dole and are working abroad, let me come to the defense of these engineers. Most of them send large sums of foreign currency home, create business opportunities for Indian companies and (increasingly) bring technical and business knowhow back to India. Even the worst of these guys contributes more to the Indian economy than a typical JNU student.
We have lots of welfare organizations in India. Every government department hires way more people than they ever need. Helping them that way is still more productive than pumping money in institutes where students are taught no life skills. To use an old cliché, they are fed fish but not taught how to catch a fish. It is time to let these institutions free. Free them of the government shackles. Let them be free to think. Let them become self-sufficient. Let them become Harvard and Princeton of India. Yes. Let them become private organizations.

Can You Say One Nice Thing About PM Modi?
When my wife started to work for a crèche (child care center) one of her colleague (Ms. T) got into trouble. Ms. T developed a visceral hatred for a child and made no efforts to hide it. The child was having difficulty settling in the place and was acting out but he was a very smart boy. Ms. T’s bad behavior towards the child got reported. This was an eminently salvageable situation. Ms. T was put to a test and was asked to say one nice thing about this child. It was clear that her job depended upon the answer (The crèche had a strong policy about prejudicial hatred). Because of her intense hatred for the child, Ms. T could not come up with one nice thing to say about the child. The child stayed. Ms. T had to leave. Her hatred got the better of her self-interests.
Since 1947, we have had many PMs. Most of them were elected against our (the Hindu nationalists’) wishes. And yet we always found something nice to say about them. For all his faults, Nehru is credited wholeheartedly with installing a functional education system and ensuring the timely formation of the constitution (as opposed to what happened in Pakistan). Despite a lot of faults, Indira Gandhi did the right thing and did not stand in the way of division of Pakistan. Manmohan Singh is widely credited with India’s economic revival (with no credit given to PVN Rao). We have accepted all that maybe grudgingly but we have. But the sentiment has not been reciprocated by the liberals of India when it comes to Narendra Modi.
PM Modi is a hated person in Pakistan but if you watch their news reports on youtube, you can see that despite of their hatred for him, grudging admiration leaks out from time to time. Good things are said about his record, work ethics, honesty, simplicity and a whole host of other abilities that the man possesses. Even if you do not agree with anything that the man stands for, the one thing that cannot be denied is his personal honesty. Kejriwal claims to be an honest person but we all know how flexible his definition is. Manmohan Singh was called honest but to save his chair he let all his ministers steal with impunity. Only PM LB Shastri comes close to Modi in terms of honesty and simplicity. Can you name one leader of a nation whose family (siblings) continue to be virtual nobodies even after the leaders election? This man is honest to a fault. Calling him honest is an easy decision.
Indian liberals and leftists have done their worst in the last 15 years to destroy this man. Their hatred for him dwarfs the hatred that India’s enemies have for him. Now they all have seem him work and perform for almost two years. They still cannot say one nice thing about him. The entire Indian media, so called intellectuals and assorted liberals are clones of Ms. T. If it were up to them, they would have Modi drawn and quartered. They would send him to the depths of hell, knowing full well in their hearts that he is the best option India has. I want to tell these Ms. T clones that he is not going anywhere because of that little thing called democracy. Find one thing nice to say about him. Accepting him will bring you peace that way it did us for lo these many decades. Once you have done that maybe you can find it in your heart to help him help the nation. We all benefit if the nation benefits. Don’t let your hatred for him get the better of your self-interests.
For our readers, we post translation of Gunvant Shah's article in Chitralekha magazine.
Somabhai Modi reached my residence at sharp 11 o’clock on January 3. The visit was pre-decided. Somabhai is the elder brother of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi but there seemed no sense of arrogance on his face. We discussed various things for almost one and half hours. In our discussion, he said, “Yes, it is true that I am an elder brother of Narendrabhai but not of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.”
I asked Somabhai “Have you ever visited Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Race Course Road?” The answer was memorable, “No Gunvantbhai…if I go to my brother’s home, he has to spend atleast 15-20 minutes with me but I don’t want to take this time which will be a loss for the nation.”
I wish, Kantibhai (son of Morarji Desai) and Robert Vadra (Son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi) could have shown such gesture!
Somabhai told me, “Till today, no one from my family, our mother or brothers, have visited PM’s residence.”
Is it a small thing? In many cases, relatives have been proved a reason behind politician’s fall. On the other hand, Somabhai has never even thought of taking advantage of his brother’s position.
I requested him to share a memorable moment where Narendrabhai showed what he is made off and he shared the following event:
When Narendrabhai was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, one day he came to my home. At that time, my son Jitendra was in the last year of engineering. Narendrabhai asked him some questions.
Narendrabhai: How are your studies going?
Jitendra: I will get a BE degree next year.
Narendrabhai: What will you do after that?
Jitendra: Will you help me to get the job? (Narendrabhai didn’t reply)
Jitendra: If I can get some financial assistance…
Narendrabhai: Has anybody helped your uncle? You should move up in life on your own!
This is a rare incident in Indian political history where the Prime Minister or The Chief Minister keeps such a distance from his family members. The leader’s lack of attachment maybe understood somehow, but can we imagine the same approach from his family members too?
Somabhai never mentions about Narendrabhai while meeting other people. This kind of approach of elder brother is also worth applauding. Even after 20 months, the mother of India’s Prime Minister has not visited the residence of his son in Delhi. In contrast, I have seen many saints who maintain relationships with their family members.
I was speechless when he left. I salute the mother of such a son.

Mr. PM: The Corrupt Must Be Brought To Justice
Two points before we discuss the topic.
Machiavelli is credited with the following: “If an injury is to be inflicted on an enemy, it is to be so severe, that the enemy’s retaliation need not be feared”. Since we are talking about politics, the injury etc. is of political rather than mortal nature. If Lalu Yadav were in jail (which is where he belongs), do you think Nitish Kumar would have won Bihar and hurt the BJP so badly?
Consider the following tweet:
@IndiaSpeaksPR
In 2019 Cong leaders will ask "If UPA was so corrupt, then how many of us are in jail today?"
How will the PM will explain that to the people?
First of all, I am not talking revenge or punishment or destroying lives here. What I want to see is justice to prevail against those who have robbed, pillaged and hurt our country grievously. Because that is the right thing to do and it will restore people’s faith in our system.
But strictly speaking as a BJP supporter, I want the corrupt to be punished for the following reasons:
a. So that like Lalu Yadav, they cannot hurt the BJP politically. Corrupt leaders like Mayawati, Mulayam Yadav, scam tainted TMC, DMK, AIDMK, Congress leaders all must pay for their crimes. If they are all in jail, then they cannot pose any challenge to the BJP. With Vadra in jail and Gandhi family in court, defending themselves, India becomes Congress-mukt without any effort while doing the right thing. Imagine Salman Khurshid, Kapil Sibbal, Digvijay Singh and all other scam tainted Congress leaders in the court, facing music instead of making seditionist statements, embarrassing the nation.
b. The scam tainted and corrupt journalists (there were enough of them involved in 2G and NDTV was just given a show cause notice for FOREX violations) should be in jail or on the defensive. Clearly we cannot boycott them for their sins. Maybe we can get rid of them (fortunately guys like Tarun Tejpal and Hasan Suroor are already helping us out). After decades of no accountability and practicing guerilla journalism, these guys were halted in tracks by the social media further accountability needs to be introduced in the form of justice.
c. Modi Sarkar has done a good job by forcing transparency in the finances of NGOs. This will also limit foreign influence in our polity.
d. As we have said before, Bihar was won by caste arithmetic. It was not Prashant Kishore’s slick campaign (Well Mr. Kishore, aren’t you proud to have helped illiterate sons of a thief who cannot even speak their mother tongue properly?), it wasn’t Nitish Kumar’s ability (why would JD(U) lose vote percent and get less seats than RJD) and it wasn’t entirely BJP fault either (their vote percent went up). It was the Muslim-Yadav-Kurmi combination of votes. Now similar combinations are being envisaged all over the country and Prashant Kishore has become as hot a commodity as Amitabh Bachchan was in 1970s. If we lose UP, we can forget 2019 general elections. We really need to clean up UP politics by speeding up various scam and disproportionate cases. This will reduce the black money flow into UP as well as “wound” some of our biggest enemies. Passage of GST bill will not have as big an impact on poor UP voters as seeing some of their corrupt leader (especially from SP and BSP) being held accountable.
e. Of course, this also means that the corrupt and the insiders in the BJP should also be raked over coals. Last thing an honest man like the PM needs is to be accused of hypocrisy.
PM Modi’s generous overture of inviting Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh has done little to change the Congress’ behavior in Lok and Rajyasabha. Brazen lies and then false accusations by Kumari Selja is what is referred to as “Chori uspar seena-zori”. Well if they want to continue to do so then there is another saying – “laaton ke bhoot baton se nahin maantay”. Today another theory has been put forth. It may be possible that Rahul Gandhi camp may be opposed to the passage of GST bill hence they will continue to misbehave. Therefore talking to Congress has become like talking to Pakistan – do you talk to elected leaders or do you talk to the army? As the inimitable Madhu Kishwar says:
PM @narendramodi naive in thinking by burying NH fraud, foreign accounts list & countless scams of Gandhis, he can buy peace with SoniaG 1/2
It may be time to practice Subramanian Swamy style politics. All the corruption cases as mentioned above need to be fast-tracked. Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship issue should be given a very high profile. Lalu should be sent back to jail. You see, all this will be in the interest of justice and restoring the voters’ faith in the judicial system. Any benefits to the BJP will only be incidental.

Why is everyone so angry with Aamir Khan?
When a privileged person like him makes a statement like he did, you have to understand people feeling betrayed. Adnan Sami wants to become a citizen while Khan wants to leave. The reason I am upset is because Khan is acting at the behest of certain political parties. Just when the intolerance debate died after BJP drubbing in Bihar election this man resuscitates it because parties he supports want to derail what could be a very productive winter parliamentary session. Shiv Sena the Party which is offering one lakh to slap Aamir Khan is struggling to stay relevant which is why they do outrageous stuff(unforgivable nonetheless).
Indian media is really vested in some parties because they get filthy rich using political proximity. Current PM(Secularist & leftist hate him)is threatening the status quo. Really the Mainstream Media has been peddling lies, the truth was suppressed. It has now come out that Ikhlaq who was killed for eating beef was actually killed for a personal animosity but the actual murderer riled up a mob for his end. Now you can look upon this one murder as a crime or you can indict the entire billion people. Way too many of these so called communal killings / violence is due to personal stuff.
Like the church that got vandalised. It turns out that the priest reported a nearby gambling den to the police. The gundas took revenge and burned the church. Media immediately reported this as a communal thing. It is easy and with Modi at helm - beneficial to the media.

Muslim-Yadav Defeat Modi. Will Destroy India.
The title is for effect, “inspired” by Bihar results but I do have a point to make. In Bihar we had a government which worked. Nitish Kumar was the benign face while the real work was done by his colleagues from the BJP. Of course Kumar took all the credit and became Sushasan Babu while Sushil Kumar Modi, for reasons best known to him, stayed quiet.
Of course a lot of crowing is going on. The biggest bête noire of the left is on the defensive and the entire left and secular brigade of India and secular and conservatives of Pakistan are celebrating. They have bested the big bad Modi and given the reins to the epitome of virtue and integrity – Lalu Yadav (don’t be fooled – Nitish Kumar is about to become Manmohan Singh of Bihar). These delusional fools in India (am not concerned about their friends in Pakistan) are ignoring a scary specter. I will come to that later but let us first examine why BJP lost despite of an increase in vote percent and Lalu – Nitish won despite losing the same.
Despite of what the secular brigade and talking heads on TV tell you, the truth is far more unsettling. Sandipan Sharma (no Modi fan he) says the following:
Facts don't lie. A breakup of votes polled by the two alliances shows a difference of 31 lakh in 2015. This is almost identical to the difference of total votes between the NDA and JDU+RJD+Congress in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, which was almost 31 lakh. So, in absolute terms, the Mahagathbandhan retained its Lok Sabha lead over NDA in the assembly polls.
What Sharma does not mention in this article is that the common vote bank of Lalu-Nitish combo was that of Muslim – Yadav – Kurmi who overwhelmingly voted for the grand alliance. Congress playing the third fiddle actually attracted some misguided upper caste vote. All other reasons are false – only thought up to embarrass Narendra Modi. The actual reason is far scary.
Despite of all the progress made by India, it still is a battle between the have and have nots. It is going to continue to be so. Not to belittle the concerns of the have nots, a point of concern is that most have nots are people belonging to lower castes and assorted groups. Of course when a group of people has to survive eating rats, then their concerns are going to be different than those of the upwardly mobile. People in power need to address the concerns of the poor and the destitute. But then there are those who vote out of sheer selfishness or prejudice. The selfish people are those who proudly claim that daughters and votes should be given to people of the same caste. Prejudicial voters are those who vote because of hatred either fueled by personal experience or fomented by media or demagogues. The Muslim – Yadav – Kurmi combo not only vote on caste lines but nurse seriously prejudicial hatred for the BJP. If combinations of this kind can be cobbled over the entire country then no matter what kind of progress driven campaign you run, you WILL lose especially in states like Bihar. THIS is the scary specter. We can easily slip back into the days of Charan Singh, Devegowda, IK Gujral like leaders which will make us fondly remember the decisive leadership of Manmohan Singh.
Selfish, myopic and ill-informed voters are the bane of any democracy. Those voters are far worse for a country like India.
It is the responsibility of the central government to address the concerns of the weakest if they want to continue with development agenda. It is the responsibility of the media and their ilk to inform the ill-informed the truth. As far as the BJP government is concerned we can be sure that not only will they not get any help from the media but they can expect concerted campaigns to damage and destroy the government. Therefore it is the responsibility of the informed voters like the middle class Hindus to unite and vote with their brains and not along the caste lines. They must remember that the “enemy” has united. We are therefore in a fight with casteist idiots, Muslim ummah and media traitors. We are fighting for the nation’s progress. We are fighting for our freedoms. We are fighting for our nation’s soul. Unite and vote otherwise stay divided and get destroyed.
You want proof? Next time you see a liberal ask them one question and see then squirm: In what realm of which planet is Lalu Yadav (or Lalu Yadav backed Nitish Kumar) a better option than Narendra Modi?

Indian Idiots Helping Pakistan
Two statements first:
A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within - Ariel Durant.
In political jargon, useful idiot is a term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they are not fully aware of, and who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause.
“Pakistan is an enemy country” belongs in the “Sky is blue” folder. That country’s formation was a heinous crime committed on India by so called well-wishers. People who stopped a complete partition (we lost land and still ended up with the second largest Muslim population) or forced Nehru by sidelining Sardar Patel are revered and almost worshipped. They were well meaning people but they knew less than nothing about statecraft. Nations are born with spilt blood and not with hope and goodwill. The saga of useful Indian idiots in not a new one. Aman ki asha is the new name for Satyagraha.
Our great nation has had to suffer some of the worst and myopic leaders. Nehru’s well-meaning approach to leadership led to Hindi – Chini bhai bhai. Indira’ myopia surrendered the great advantages of the 1972 war to that clever bastard Bhutto but at least she split Pakistan in two thereby making our eastern border somewhat safe. She was way more of a man than the guy who followed her. Morarji Desai was another well-meaning idiot. In a very good article, Mallika Nawal writes that RAW could have caused irreparable damage to Pakistan nuclear program but for Desai:
By analyzing the hair samples of the scientists (collected from the barber shop near the plant), RAW discovered they had indeed developed the capability to enrich uranium to weapons-grade quality. And thus, unbeknownst to Pakistan, RAW managed to infiltrate the Kahuta plant in 1977.
In fact, in early 1978, the entire blueprint of the Kahuta nuclear plant was offered to India for a measly sum of $10,000 by one of RAW’s Pakistani agents. However, as dictated by protocol, RAW needed the PM’s approval. Unfortunately, Indira Gandhi (the woman who founded RAW) was no longer the PM. The Janata Party was in power, and Morarji Desai, as Prime Minister, now held the reins of RAW. Desai, who had a strong aversion to RAW, rejected the agency’s request.
And in a further and final act of betrayal, he inadvertently informed General Zia ul-Haq, who had usurped power in Pakistan by deposing Bhutto in July 1977, that India was well-aware of Kahuta and Pakistan’s nuclear programme. As it emerged from later reports, the military dictator went about eliminating every single one of our agents and assets, thus forever leaving us in the dark about Pakistan’s nuclear weapons programme.
No wonder then, that Morarji Desai is the only Indian recipient of Pakistan’s highest civilian award, the Nishaan-e-Pakistan. You can’t blame General Zia for ingratitude!
In another excellent treatise (in New Indian Express) it is written:
Political masters have historically compromised Indian intelligence. In 1978, during a brief phone conversation with Pakistan ruler General Zia-ul-Haq, Indian prime minister Morarji Desai inadvertently mentioned that India was aware of Pakistan’s nuclear programme. The ruthless General immediately ordered RAW assets in Pakistan to be found and neutralised. Subsequently, Indian agents were eliminated as their helpless handlers watched. Yadav says whatever intelligence network was left in Pakistan after Zia’s bloody cleanup was further destroyed by I K Gujral when he was PM in 1997-98. “Gujral had a serious allergy to RAW and the first thing he did was to suspend all offensive ops within Pakistan. Even the IB was asked to go slow on Pakistani agents operating in India. In approximately 11 months, he systematically erased the organisation’s footprints in Pakistan to promote his peace doctrine,” Yadav reveals.
Interestingly, only few months after Gujral’s decision to suspend RAW’s Pak operation, the agency prevented a Pak-sponsored attack on his convoy in Jalandhar. A top secret A-category input from the RAW station in London had warned about five militants travelling to India to attack the prime minister’s convoy. Surveillance was mounted after their flight touched down at Delhi. A team of Indian intelligence agents apprehended the terrorists after they picked up their weapons from a pre-decided location in Punjab. Meanwhile, unhindered by any political influence, ISI continued to exploit the vacuum created by Indian politicians.
Atalji was another peacenik with great love for Pakistan but at least he kept his eyes open and did not hold back during Kargil (of course Operation Parakram and the Kandahar hijacking totally reversed all the good he did). Of course during the Manmohan Singh decade, Pakistanis were kept happy. Despite of all the cajoling, the pakis kept attacking and in true Christian way, we kept turning the other cheek.
There we have it. A long line of well-meaning Indian leaders who inadvertently helped our enemies. The term useful idiot is an apt one for all of them. But that is not the end of it. There exists a cottage industry of such idiots in the media, academia and social work who somehow think that peace (at any cost) with Pakistan is the cure for all ills of our great nation. The damage this section of the society has wrought on the nation and continue to do so is for all to see.
But what is really flabbergasting is that the so called right wing has inadvertently playing into the hands of those who want to bring shame to the nation. Mr. Madhav Nalapat has written a good one on the topic (url below). Throwing ink at someone like Sudheendra Kulkarni is one thing but to inflict violence upon the innocent or the non-capital crime committing guilty does nothing to improve our image in today’s global village. You should read the gleeful comments being made in Pakistani newspapers in the aftermath or the recent beef related violence or the Kalburgi murder (NO MATTER WHAT THE PROVOCATION – WE ARE NOT MUSLIMS!!).
We finally have a PM who is trying his best to put the nation on the right path but he is facing opposition at every stage. Congress with 42 MPs managed to successfully sabotage the progress oriented bills. The useful idiots are working hard in ensuring that (all kinds of problems are propping up in front of the PM just before the elections. Have you wondered why?
All things said, we should thank our stars that Pakistanis are arrogant and stupid. If they were anything like the Chinese or Russians, they would have destroyed us long time ago. Of course if they had managed to destroy us, then there would be lots and lots of Indian claimants for the Nishan-e-Pakistan or Sitara-e-Pakistan.

BJP Leaders Need To Practice “No Comment”
Long time ago in discussion with a Muslim from Pakistan (during my graduate school days in the US), I asked him if he believed that people like Alexander Fleming (Penicillin) and Louis Pasteur (vaccination) are in hell. He said that his religion says so and therefore he believes that they are in hell. This guy was pursuing a higher degree in Engineering. Religious fanatics are extremely self-righteous and detached from reality. I used to be so happy that barring some, Hinduism did not have such idiots and most people were very accommodating of diverse thinking and habits.
We always had those who thought that non-vegetarians were somehow inferior to the vegetarians. But it was limited to turning up of noses and never violent. The recent anti beef actions resulting in tragedies are something of an anomaly. The anti-beef brigade will tell you that all countries have some kinds of meats banned so why can’t we? Since I am a meat eater but not a beef eater, I say fine. We should ban beef. After all, it is the most uneconomical meat. Pork is the most economical so we need to promote pork in India. As far as Muslims are concerned, they can still eat goat and lamb (or if you are Salman Khan- an occasional deer). Giving up beef is not exactly a major sacrifice. After all, all Muslims emulate Arabs who have no access to cows and eat lambs and camels. The point is that let us make strict laws about beef and cows. Let us have well defined punishments. After some whining, dust will settle and we will be a beef free country. After that, if some criminal decides to kill a cow (after all, despite of capital punishments Hindus and other Indians still murder and rape) then arrest them and punish them to the fullest extent of the law. But as in all other kinds of crimes, let us not form mobs, tale law in our hands and lynch. Do we do that to murderers? Did we invade Tihar and kill the rapists and murders of Jyoti Singh Pandey aka Nirbhaya? Remember it is only a matter of time before someone like me is eating goat meat at home and get lynched for it.
But there is another tragedy which is far more damaging (from the big picture perspective) which is the motor-mouths of the BJP and RSS. There exist a number of leaders in BJP who are small, petty men with huge egos. These men think that they need to speak their minds whenever there is a microphone in front of them. Now we all have thoughts that we express in private and different ones on the same topic in public. This applies doubly to politicians who are supposed to lie with ease. However when it comes to the topic of beef and Muslims, these men need to shut up or say “No Comment”. Clearly these men lie with ease when it comes to their personal lives. Why do they have to stir up controversies and provide the leftists and mainstream media with sticks to beat PM Narendra Modi. When Khattar make a statement, people forget that Modi as CM had kept RSS and VHP out of politics in Gujarat and maintained the kind of communal harmony that Congress and Secular party ruled states can only dream of (Post Godhra massacre riots notwithstanding. REALLY!). After statements made by RSS leaders or the likes of Sakshi Maharaj, the PM has to stop his work and defend this nonsense. Mohan Bhagwat’s time is not important but the PM who is doing outstanding work needs to focus on his work and nothing else. These motor-mouths are hurting the very cause they brag of supporting – the progress of our motherland. So my appeal to them is please shut up or learn how to say no comment. Please do not derail the progress train.

Murder Over Beef Hurts Entire Nation
Broken bones can be healed, torn books can be glued, burnt flags can be remade, hurt emptions and broken hearts have time on their side. Death is an irreversible process. The way ours and most civilized societies are, capital punishment is not taken lightly for that very reason and even the highest courts tread carefully.
Every Hindu would agree that we are a civilized country. We will go further and say that ours is an ancient civilization and use that in every argument which highlights our weaknesses. Of all the weaknesses and flaws in a society, mob justice and public lynching have to be on the top. If this continues then we are no better than Saudi Arabia or most other Muslim countries with Sharia Laws.
Here we finally have a PM who is undoing all the wrongs done to our nation since 1947. He is out there generating investments and trying to project our soft power and then we get to hear this – mob lynching – a hall mark or savagery. This is the ultimate crab mentality. We have these fringe Hindu groups who somehow feel empowered because now they have a Hindu nationalist in the PM’s chair. They feel that he thinks like them and will agree and condone their murderous agenda. It is clear that they do not know anything about Narendra Modi. In fact they may have made their impression about the PM based upon the views of leftists, liberals and main stream media – the very group they claim the hate.
After the post Godhra-Massacre riots, it is clear that Narendra Modi realized that he could not achieve his dream of a prosperous Gujarat without absolute peace. During his tenure, RSS and the VHP were sidelined and kept in check. Of the two, RSS is a force for good (except for the occasional ramblings of the older leaders who are out of touch with today’s world) but still it as important that law of the land prevailed over individuals and organizations. Within two years of the riots, the BJP won local elections even from the Muslims dominated areas. He is an India first kind of patriot.
Leftists are demanding that the Pm should come out and make a statement on this tragedy. As heinous the murder was, it still is just that – a heinous murder and there are laws to deal with this. The Home and Law ministries should work in tandem to ensure swift justice to restore the faith of all people in the system. A tough punishment should be given to the murderers to send a message to all those who think that they can hide in a mob and get their nefarious agenda though. The PM is responsible for the entire nation. We have local and state government for dealing with crime – heinous or otherwise.
The senseless murder of Mohammad Ikhlaq, father of an IAF personnel is a travesty of the highest order and should be treated as such by every Indian. As a supporter of the BJP, I think it is of utmost importance that people like Sakshi Maharaj be shut up or shunted out. MLAs like Sangeet Som cause great damage to the party with their irresponsible statements and thus are a net loss for the party. Throw the guy out of the party. Thugs like Sadhvi Prachi who are not connected to the party but behave as though they are should be exposed for what they actually are. The mainstream media and the leftist cabal is always trying to tie the party up with such yahoos in hopes for tainting a great leader like our PM. This has to stop as it completely derails the progress train.
Please see the youtube video posted in the article below. If we Hindus decide to brush this off as the work of some misguided extremists then we need to remember one thing – Muslims all over the world use the same excuse. Let us not become another Pakistan. If beef eating is a crime then let the courts deal with it. Mob justice and lynching is going to pull us down to the level of Muslim countries and that we, the Hindus, would like even less.
Please read an excellent article published in Niticentral which says the following:
Why the Right, Left and Media have it wrong
The Right is wrong for moving the debate on “Cow Protection” from the personal domain based on personal morality and religious observances to the domain of the State, something which didn’t happen even during Kautilya’s time.
The Left is wrong in questioning the legitimate Right of the State to legislate on matters that happen in public spaces, a Right which is not unique to India and a Right that is routinely exercised in liberal democracies of the West.
The media is wrong for having distorted the public debate by raising the bogey of personal freedoms when in fact there were no consumption bans. Rather than inform and clarify the media has vitiated the debate by playing up extremes on both sides by repeating crude generalisations and peddling vulgar oversimplifications.

Moderate Muslims Are Irrelevant.
The following is a great video which highlights the irrelevance of moderates in a society if the radicals are allowed to run away with their agenda. There is a lesson for Hindus here as well in light of the Dadri lynching of a Muslim farmer who was rumored to be eating beef.

Importance Of “Bhakts” And “Trolls”
By now anyone who is not living in a cave has read about the open letter written by Rajdeep Sardesai and its reply CM Devendra Fadnavis. This post is not about what was said in those letters. They are there for all to see. This post is about the social media and other venues of expression on the internet which in our opinion has been the great equalizer (you can read our earlier post on that topic).
Before the advent of internet the kind of journalism that was practiced in India gave a lot of power to a chosen few. First and foremost Congress and its supporters controlled most of the media. Even the state owned media (Doordarshan and Akashvani) parroted the party lines. Now Congress was and still is a left of the center party so it is safe to say that entire media machinery was controlled by leftist liberals. Now there were some renegade journalists but they were extreme leftists who sympathized with the Communists. Janasangh was a marginal player (as far as electoral politics was concerned) and Lohiaite parties were even smaller. Journalists controlled our thought process. That was the kind of power they had. With 24 hour news channels this group became very rich as well. And of course extremely corrupt and morally compromised as we saw in the 2G scam. All this is evolution of a really corrupt system which benefitted those whose agenda dovetailed with these media crooks. We all know who these people are.
What really bothered me was the way these arrogant journalists practiced a sort of guerilla journalism. Write whatever you want (as long as it was not against Congress), slander anyone (especially those who stood up to Congress) lie like Goebbels and not fear any repercussion let alone a rebuttal. Which is exactly what Sardesai and other so called journalists practice all the time.
An interesting phenomenon happened along the way. INTERNET. This new technology provided a voice to the hitherto mute and silent sufferers. Social media and blogs gave voice to us all. Anyone with a laptop and a cellphone camera has now become a journalist. I do not have to go to JNU or Stephens to do that. I could go to the IITs, study engineering or sciences, be a real contributor to society and still voice opinions. Suddenly, false claims and accusations of the likes of Sardesai were no longer unanswered. They were hearing immediate replies to their opinions. Faced with truth and often invectives, these media mavens who were so used to getting their way, were left rattled. They developed terms like (Modi)Bhakts and trolls for people like us. We stand up to them and take their power away from them. They really loathe us and hence those terms.
Now very often replies by people over social media is very offensive, borne out of extreme anger. That needs to stop because it takes away from a genuine discourse. However for the most part these cultural nationalists play a very important part in our society. We show mirrors to the likes of Sardesai and keep them honest. Social media has provided the extremely corrupt world of Indian journalism a system of checks and balances. Social media has played an important part in winning the elections for the BJP. Narendra Modi realized the importance of the social media and provided an alternate platform for his message. By doing so he took the power away from the media crooks who had never ever left a chance to vilify Modi and every other Hindu nationalist. The word Hindu had essentially become a curse word. Social media has changed all that. People do not have to think what Sardesai and his ilk tell them. For a change, truth is out there for all to find and see. A while ago, Sardesai could have written whatever he wanted to write with no fear of a reply or a rebuttal. No longer. That is why the bhakts and trolls who are so reviled by the left are so important.

Indo-Pak talks: Pakistani Insanity And Ours
Indo-Pak Talks. What a joke! Yet another one planned and abandoned. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the very definition of insanity. Now does this insanity run on both sides of the border or one is more insane than the others? Readers of this blog know where I stand on the issue but I will offer concrete arguments to show that Pakistanis have shown this insane proclivity of burning down their house in hopes that the fire extends to your house and burns your house as well.
Recently two men died in Pakistan within hours of each other. Hamid Gul (natural causes – twenty five years too late but so it is) and Shuja Khanzada – Home Minister Pakistani Punjab (in a suicide bombing). Hamid Gul is credited with the creation of Taliban (to control Afghanistan) and other terror outfits (to control India). Khanzada was yet another Army guy with political aspirations.
Now I watch clippings of Pakistani shows and news on YouTube. I would like you to know that there is a subculture of Indians digging for these clippings and posting it in YouTube to expose various Paki claims and show real Pakistani thinking (search Gurudev or Krishna KRP or Indian Cyborg or Desigyan etc. for these clippings). Watching a very popular comedy show with serious doses or political and social commentary featuring one of the comedy stars (these guys are virulent India haters) I saw yet another example of confused Paki thinking. First they mourned the passing of the terror master Hamid Gul. They extolled him like we do Netaji or FM Maneckshaw. Next they mourned and extolled Khanzada as someone who martyred himself fighting terrorism in Pakistan. Now I found that really rich. They mourned and extolled one guy who created the terrorist group (TTP - a splinter of original Taliban) that killed the other guy who they extolled as an anti-terror warrior. Is that insanity or what?
Hamid Gul created Taliban to create a strategic depth in Afghanistan in case of a war with India and then created other groups to kill India by a thousand cuts. Twenty five years later India is on its way to become an economic powerhouse with scientific and technological achievements to make even the developed countries envious (Mars mission etc.). Pakistan cannot even maintain their railways and continue to be the threatening beggar as far as economics are concerned. India is spreading its soft power the world over. Pakistan is down to China and North Korea as friends (even the Muslim countries do not like them). India has lost a lot of people in various terror attacks but Pakistanis have lost way more and continue to do so at the hands of their own creations. Yup. Their plan of hurting India is really working for them. Is that insanity or what?
They buy tea from Kenya when they have Grand Trunk road (or some semblance of it) from Kolkata to Lahore. They buy other raw material from us via third parties in middle east because they do not want to be seen buying directly from us. They have given shelter to Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon who have created a real underworld in Karachi thereby compounding the problems of that city which burns worse now than it did in the past. Signs of insanity?
In another one of those aforementioned videos, a Paki commentator told Shashi Tharoor that we were a big country with a very small heart. Tharoor reminded him that they refused a gift of $25 Million for their flood victims but they refused and only accepted via the UN. A clear sign of petty mindedness. Only Pakistan has accused us of a lack of generosity. But Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Maldives, Sri Lanka and a whole host of developing world just loves us. Clearly the fault lies not in our hearts but in the intentions of Pakistanis. They refuse to mend their ways and want us to be generous. Yet another sign of insanity.
Nations take care of their self-interests and in that pursuit often rise above petty mindedness and egos. A hardcore Sunni Islamic country like UAE is willing to look beyond the alleged problems with PM Modi and sign an enormous deal with us. All of the Muslim world looks upon us as a friendly nation. But Pakistan cannot do so. They are too blinded by their insane hatred of India and Hindus (watch the above video) that they continue to work against their self-interest even if it means hurting themselves. A typical case of burning down ones house in hopes that the flames will burn the neighbor’s house as well. If that is not insanity then I don’t know what is.
Of course on our side, we keep setting up these talks. Whether they are under the pressure from international community or our own establishment it seems like our contribution to the insanity argument. What is the point in talking to Pakistani politicians knowing full well that their strings are being pulled by those who protected and lied to USA and the world about Osama Bin Laden even though they were existing on the dole from the USA? If the USA did not have any leverage as far as Osama was concerned, do we even have a prayer as far as Dawood is concerned? We could have equivalent of a smoking gun and the Pakis would brush it off. We should do enough to keep peace by practicing the Doval doctrine and call it cost of doing business. After all with the Chinese economy in peril, something has got to get through to the Pakistani establishment; cutting through the hitherto impenetrable fog of hatred. Of course if you watch the video of Tarek Fatah, it does seem like an impossibility.

Real Crime: Adil Shahryar For Warren Anderson
We wrote this a long time ago. We are reposting it in the wake of revelations made by Sushma Swaraj in Loksabha:
Hamara Mai-Baap Kaun Hai?

You need to know the following before I make my case.
Adil Shahriyar, the son of Muhammad Yunus, who was almost a part of the Indira Gandhi family, and a mentor of both Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi, was tried in a US District Court by a jury, and convicted on an indictment of five counts ( including trying to blow up a ship, illegal possession of firearms and carrying them across State borders and drug trafficking) and sentenced in 1982 to 35 years hard labour in prison.
All of the power of the GoI was thrown behind this criminal Adil but to no avail. Proximity to Gandhi family does not carry any weight in the USA. But then some thing happened which was essentially godsend i.e. Union Carbide gas leak that killed over 3000 people. This tragedy presented a great opportunity for the Yunus family. The Union Carbide CEO Warren Anderson was in an Indian lock up under the purview of the Gandhi Family faithful Arjun Singh. Anderson was released and given the VIP treatment out of India. On the other end, Ronald Reagan, the leader of the most powerful nation (at least at that time) took time out of his very busy schedule and pardoned Adil Shariyar’s sentence. From what I know of the US pardon system, small time criminals like Adil do not get noticed by a President. The implication is obvious. A deal must have been negotiated. Safe passage for Warren Anderson for the pardon of Adil Shahriyar! Can you fathom the implication here? Maybe India was going to let Anderson go anyway. But someone at that time of extreme tragedy was thinking of this criminal. That in it’s own right is mind numbing.
Corruption is not new to Congress. There is no shortage of examples of that. In fact, it has become institutionalized. People like A Raja would be drawn and quartered in most countries. In India, the man is still enjoying fruits of his crimes.
Prof. Vaidyanathan has hit another one out the park with his latest. He correctly points out that there are people in the GoI to take care of criminals close to the powerful families. He writes:Another example is more bizarre. Naga political and student groups have been starving the Manipuris for more than two months by blockading the state. Petrol sells for Rs200 per litre and everything is scarce. But the Centre is still requesting (cajoling/begging) Naga militants to lift the blockade. Now imagine what would have happened if it was the other way round: the Manipuris blockading the Nagas. It would not have continued for more than one day. The global Baptist Church would have created a ruckus and many delegations of leaders from Europe and the US would have rushed to India and our PM would have been forced to go to the north-east to make amends. But Manipur can starve since they don’t have a lobby.
In Delhi, we thus have a US lobby, a Chinese lobby (even unelectable Jairam Ramesh lobbies for Chinese businesses), a Middle Eastern lobby and, of course, a Pakistani Lobby. Obama’svisit reveals the power of the US lobby. It appears that in the last few days nothing of importance has happened in any part of the world. It’s just Obama all the way. Then there are lobbies for the IT industry, for pharma, for liquor barons, for global arms merchants — lobbies for everyone from Aruba to Zimbabwe. But the question he asks is : Who lobbies for India? Aam aadmi ka maai – baap kaun hai? He is right, in India the one thing that matters the least is the aam Indian. That is a sad commentary indeed!

Mr. B Raman Was Right. Free Aseemanand, Sadhvi Pragya
I am a big fan of Late Bahukutumbi Raman who was known to those in the know or readers of “beyond news” kind of articles. The man was an apolitical spy who was really well informed and came through as an “India first” kind of patriot. He used to write op-ed pieces on a website saag.org which was later renamed http://southasiaanalysis.org/. It was clearly a website that a typical Indian leftist would not even want to accidently visit. Until of course it suited their warped narrative as we saw recently. One of his articles was used to support clemency for Yakub Memon. However as we found out ourselves and also in the now well-read open letter. It clearly states the following:
But one common hypothesis put forward by many is that Yakub Memon surrendered to the Indian authorities, and then cooperated with the investigations. Plain lies. Late B Raman, one of India’s finest intelligence officers wrote this in his article:
He had come to Kathmandu secretly from Karachi to consult a relative and a lawyer on the advisability of some members of the Memon family, including himself, who felt uncomfortable with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, returning to India and surrendering to the Mumbai police. The relative and the lawyer advised him against surrender due to a fear that justice might not be done to them. They advised Yakub to go back to Karachi.
Before he could board the flight to Karachi, he was picked up by the Nepal police on suspicion, identified and rapidly moved to India.
This was yesterday confirmed on some news channels when they interviewed the Nepali police officer. He re-iterated that there was no deal and Yakub was fleeing to Karachi. Then why are our “Intelligentsia” hell bent on stating otherwise?
So it is clear that those who clearly did not give two hoots about this patriot are bending his words for their perverted end. If they really were aware of the intel provided by Late Mr. Raman, they would not even utter the term “Hindu Terror”. I will explain.
When it comes to supporting their “Hindu Terror” phenomenon, Indian liberals and Pakistanis use the Samjhauta Express bombings and Malegaon bombings. Late Mr. Raman wrote an article on the matter and surprisingly that is one of the articles which has disappeared from website. Of course the article can be found at various websites and I will leave it here for your perusal. The most important point is made in section 7 where it says the following:
Thus, according to American investigators the LET and Al Qaeda were responsible for the Samjauta Express blast and the HUJI for the Mecca Masjid blast. If the American investigators, who have better sources in Pakistan, are correct, how can our investigators claim that some arrested Hindus were responsible for these incidents?
If Mr. Raman was correct then the suspects Swami Aseemanand, Sadhvi Pragya, Sunil Joshi (now dead), Sandeep Dange, Lokesh Sharma and Ramchandra Kalasangra are innocent. So why are these poor souls languishing in jails?
Since Indian leftists are now the new supporters of Mr. Raman then why have they not taken up the case of Aseemanand, Sadhvi Pragya ( who was denied permission to attend her father’s funeral) et. al. whose innocence Mr. Raman believed in. If Mr. Raman is wrong then why have they not apologized for using his article for their sick end? We all know why. Indian leftists are a disease on the nation’s soul. I wish they would keep their self-loathing to themselves instead of perverting the name of a patriot who is not with us to defend his good name.
ARREST OF SOME HINDUS AS TERRORISTS: CURIOUSER & CURIOUSER
By B.Raman http://www.southasiaanalysis.org/papers40/paper3971.html August 7 2010.
Some curious and intriguing aspects of the recent allegations of our investigating agencies against some Hindus of involvement in acts of terrorism against Muslims need to be highlighted.
2. The first relates to the incendiary explosion in the Samjauta Express. The second relates to the explosions in the Mecca Masjid of Hyderabad. The "Hindu" of July 31,2010, reported as follows: " The National Investigation Agency's probe into the Samjauta Express blasts will cover links with the explosions in Malegaon, Ajmer Sharif and the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad, Home Minister P.Chidambaram said here on Friday ( July 30).... Asked about Hindutva organisations being suspects in the Samjauta and other three blasts, he declined to speculate."If we could do that, why would we hand it over to the NIA? Since the Haryana Police has not been able to crack the case, with their consent, the case has been handed over to the NIA."..... The CPI (M) has opposed separate investigations and called for a co-ordinated probe. It also alleged that three persons arrested for the Ajmer Sharif dargah blast (2007) were linked to the Abhinav Bharat organisation, which is said to be behind the Malegaon blast (2008). Their involvement is also suspected in the Mecca Masjid blast (2007) as the SIM card found in Ajmer belonged to the same batch used to trigger the Hyderabad blast."
3.In a press note issued on July 1, 2009, the US Department of Treasury gave the personal particulars of four persons--- a Pashtun born in Afghanistan, two Punjabis and a fourth person of unclear ethnicity originating from Karachi----associated with the Lashkare-Toiba (LET), who were designated by the Department under Executive Order 13224 "as providing direct support to Al Qaeda and the LET and as facilitating terrorist attacks, including the July 2006 train bombing in Mumbai."
4. One Arif Qasmani of Karachi was specifically named by the Department as involed in the Mumbai suburban train blasts of July, 2006, and in the Samjautha Express blast of February, 2007. It said of him as follows: "Arif Qasmani is the chief coordinator for Lashkar-e Tayyiba's (LET) dealings with outside organizations and has provided significant support for LET terrorist operations. Qasmani has worked with LET to facilitate terrorist attacks, including the July 2006 train bombing in Mumbai, India, and the February 2007 Samjota Express bombing in Panipat, India. Qasmani conducted fundraising activities on behalf of LET in 2005 and utilized money that he received from Dawood Ibrahim, an Indian crime figure and terrorist supporter, to facilitate the July 2006 train bombing in Mumbai, India. Since 2001, Arif Qasmani has also provided financial and other support and services to al Qaida, including facilitating the movement of al Qaida leaders and personnel in and out of Afghanistan, the return of foreign fighters to their respective countries, and the provision of supplies and weapons. In return for Qasmani's support, al Qaida provided Qasmani with operatives to support the July 2006 train bombing in Mumbai, India, and the February 2007 Samjota Express bombing in Panipat, India. In 2005, Qasmani provided Taliban leaders with a safe haven and a means to smuggle personnel, equipment, and weapons into Afghanistan." ( http://www.southasiaanalysis.org/%5Cpapers33%5Cpaper3291.html )
5.Allegations have been made in India that some Hindus, who were arrested for their suspected involvement in the Ajmer Sharif blast, are also suspected of involvement in the Mecca Masjid blast of Hyderabad. On August 6,2010, the US State Department made public notifications designating the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI) of Pakistan as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation and Ilyas Kashmiri belonging to it as an international terrorist. Similar action has been taken on US advice by the anti-terrorism sanctions committee of the UN Security Council the same day.
6. Reporting on these notifications, Mr.Peter Fowler, an American journalist, says as follows: "HUJI has carried out a number of terrorist attacks. In March 2006, HUJI was responsible for the suicide bombing of the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, which killed four people and injured 48 others. HUJI is also responsible for terrorist attacks in India including the May 2007 Hyderabad mosque attack, which killed 16 and injured 40, and the March 2007 Varanasi attack, which killed 25 and injured 100." (http://www.newsroomamerica.com/story/41551/us_targets_terrorist_organization_operating_in_india_and_pakistan.html )
7. Justice and fairplay demand a thorough investigation into the two different versions that have emerged from Indian and American investigators. While the American investigators have blamed the LET, Al Qaeda and the HUJI, Indian investigators have blamed the Abhinav Bharat. Both cannot be correct.
