Where art thou Varsha Tai?

I am a fan of Varsha Tai Bhosle. I am also a fan of Rajeev Srinivasan, Prof. R Vaidyanathan, Swapan Dasgupta, Chandan Mitra and NV Subramanian. I am a bigger fan of Kanchan Gupta. These thinkers are like the Indian Tiger – rare and disappearing. What makes them even more unique is that they are the only writers holding the flickering torch of Hindu Nationalism in the maelstrom of the liberalism, pusillanimity and abject surrender that is Indian Media. These men do not try obfuscating the issues and always tell the truth. It is the honesty of these men and their ilk, which gives me hope that maybe the aam aadmi will realize the truth and do the right thing eventually. As great as these men are, they still do lack something that Varsha Tai had (her retirement due to ill health from writing necessitates the use of past tense here). Her words were like a machete, which cut through the dense forest of disinformation, lies and systematic brain washings. She did not even spare the stalwarts of Indian Conservatism like A B Vajpai when necessary. Her writing was that of a true Indian. It is a real pity that we do not have the honor of reading her anymore. I hope that she recovers and starts to write again.
Why am I lamenting her absence? It is probably because recently there was an article in rediff, which talked about a famous journalist whose arrogance may have cost precious Indian lives. That was one report on an online magazine, which has since disappeared. A story that would cause enormous consternation elsewhere in the world, does not have legs beyond a day in India? Where is the outrage in the aam janta? If aam janta is oblivious to all this, then where is the outrage in the mainstream media? Is she being protected by her fellow journalists? Are they doing so out of professional courtesy or they are afraid of the corporation standing behind her? Who is going to dig into this and other such stories and tell us the truth?
Where art thou Varsha Tai?

The following are some samples of her writings:
