Muslims love to talk in hyperboles. That is the beauty of Urdu poetry. However, that practice when applied to demagogic speeches has a different impact. We get “mother of all battles”, “one Pakistani soldier is equal to five Indian soldier”, “khoon ki nadiyaan bahaa denge” kind of crap. Which is why, when MIM leader Owaisi spoke the way he did, it was not surprising. I have three things to say about his speech.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is an extremely honest man. He does not lie and speaks his mind. He wears his heart on his sleeves. So when he was speaking of killing Hindus, he was speaking the truth. Judging the applause from the crowd, his sentiments seem to have a lot of support. The rousing welcome he received on his return from England only confirms it.
Why do I call this man Honest? It is more of a corollary. I will try to prove it. I am going to make a rather sweeping statement but the words and actions of Muslims in Muslim majority countries confirm my statement. I think a majority of Muslims feel the way Owaisi does but do not speak for the fear of reprisals. They are the liars. Which makes Owaisi an honest man.
India is a democratic country. We have freedom of speech. We are not an Islamic theocracy or communist dictatorship. People should be allowed to say whatever they want to without fear of a reprisal. Of course even in the US which is the most free society in the world people are not allowed to threaten another with death. By that standard, Owaisi would be in trouble even in the US. He would have been arrested by their domestic policing outfit, the FBI by now. However, in India he is still free. That would imply that India has even a better standard of freedom of speech. But that is not true. Speak against Congress or the Gandhi family, empathize with Nathuram Godse, raise anti Hindu atrocities of the times past by Muslims and other things and then find out how free you really are. The liberal Congress leaders were hell bent on censoring facebook and twitter. What that tells you is that this is liberal hypocrisy at work. If they are going soft on Owaisi then why wasn’t Varun Gandhi given a similar treatment. Someone from VHP could never ever get away with a similar anti Muslim speech.
The lack of action and outrage against this guy’s speech in the media and political circles is really flabbergasting. Where are the stalwarts or secularism? Where are Lalloo, Mullayam, Mayawati, Digvijay, and other secular leaders? Why are they keeping quiet? The answer to that is obvious to all but the liberal blind. Congress needs to win big in Andhra to have any hope of coming back to the central government. How can they antagonize their Muslim base? Their lack of action only confirms my theory. If the Congress thought that Muslims do not think like Owaisi and are truly secular then they should not fear and electoral reprisal from their Muslim base. But their lack of action against Owaisi betrays that which tells me that they also think that Muslims are in agreement with Owaisi. Sounds convoluted but you get my point.

ReplyDeleteYou probably have not actually seen and comprehended the whole of Akbar Owaisi’s speech, I suggest you go through the WHOLE speech carefully and get yourself a translator if you do not understand Urdu. A section of the media that is blatantly biased portrays things taken out of context in an attempt to give the audience a totally different message than what is actually conveyed. Listen to the speech carefully. He has said nothing against Ram and his mother. He just questioned Advani and gang about the actual spot of birth of Ram, because different people show three different spots in Ayodhya and it is even said that his mother went to her maternal place Kaushalyapuram in Haryana as per Indian customs to have her first child, an age old Indian custom that is shared amongst us Muslims as well.

Furthermore he threatened that there are 100 crore Hindus in India who can crush the Muslims… and the rest the WISE can themselves link and understand. Togadia was the one who started it, Akbar responded to his bait and got jailed, and this initiator THUGadia is further puking venom with IMPUNITY. He has a history of making such absurdities "We will turn Baba Budangiri into Another Ayodhya,” declared Pravin Togadia at Chikmagalur in Karnataka during Datta Jayanthi celebrations at Baba Budangiri in Dec 2002.

So a MUSLIM is inherently a JEW & a CHRISTIAN as well because they believe the initial pure message that was the faith of the actual people of the BOOK. All Muslims believe in the virgin birth of Jesus (PBUH), he was born without a father because God just said BE AND HE WAS. Muslims consider him to be a rightful and important prophet and messenger who in his second coming (he will come back on this Earth again) will fill it with Justice and a single religion. God had sent 124000 Prophets in each and every part of the World since time immemorial, culminating with prophets Jesus Christ (PBUH) 2000 years ago and Mohd (PBUH) 1400 years ago. There were no Christians before God sent Jesus Christ as his messenger, and no Jews before Prophet Moses was sent. It is up to each person to analyze why God kept sending these prophets to bring people back to the right belief (Because Man according to his own whims and fancies kept changing the original message that was conveyed by those illustrious prophets) until he sent his last and Final messenger, the Prophet of Islam PBUH. It might very well be that Lord RAMA and Lord KRISHNA were representatives of God in the ancient times. We do respect them, and condemn anybody who shows disrespect to them. The Quran explicitly prohibits ridiculing somebody else’s religion . Prophet Mohd (PBUH) was sent with a final MESSAGE for the whole of Mankind, as a mercy from GOD. Also his coming has been foretold in the ancient HINDU scriptures such as the VEDAS, the PURANAS, the UPANISHADS, as well as the Old Testament the Torah, the Bible etc. A lot of people see the proofs in their own holy books, and if they strive to arrive at the truth, they will be guided. I am proud as well as glad to be a Muslim and I hope everybody can respect my belief that I share with 1.7 billion (170 cr) fellow Muslims all over the world.

Coming back to Akbar's speech, for people who do not understand URDU, he said that "HUM KASAB KI MAZZAMMAT KARTAY HAI" meaning 'we condemn Kasab and terrorism' not once or twice but four times in continuity. But his question was that KASAB is a Pakistani terrorist who killed 200 INDIANS and it is good that he was hanged, BUT Narendar Modi who has the blood of 2000 INDIANS on his hands has still not been punished and to add more absurdity to it, he is trying to become the PM. You probably have not actually seen the whole of Akbar Owaisi’s speech, I suggest you go through the WHOLE 2+ hours speech carefully.

Does it not know that the flag of Akbar's party MIM is GREEN, the colour of Islam with the Moon and Stars. The same green that is in our TIRANGA. Pakistan's Flag is Predominantly Green for the majority of Muslims with white for the rest of the minorites. ReplyDeletePeople of the Indian subcontinent (Present day INDIA, PAKISTAN, BANGLADESH, and SRI LANKA) are mostly people of the same race, who through the ages accepted different faiths as per their own understanding, many converted to Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism etc. So for people who feel that the humongous population of Muslims in India are outsiders, just be aware of the fact that a majority of them are their own brethren who had accepted Islam as their religion seeing the beauty of it. It was but a small number of conquering forces who were outsiders and invaders, please go in depth into history to ascertain these facts. Suppose there are two brothers Mr. Ravi and Mr. Kiran, who are Hindu and at a later stage in life Mr. Kiran gets influenced by Islam and converts, that does not make him a lesser heir, does it? He still inherits his equal share, would Mr. Ravi deny his own sibling his rightful inheritance because he is upset that his brother abandoned his fore-father’s faith? This analogy is just so that people think through this situation and adopt religious harmony like it used to be in India's hay days.

On this blog, we have repeatedly said that those Muslims who dream of converting India into some sort of a dar-ul-islam are enemies of this country and are going to fail. Those Hindus who think that somehow the Muslims are going to change and toe their line are also mistaken. One cannot kill the other. So what is the solution? The simple solution is to rise above the cacophony and hatred and come to the conculsion that we are all in this together. If the nation prosepers, every one does well (like the Muslims in Gujarat). Hindus cannot afford to leave the Muslims behind and hope that somehow the nation will be better off that way. The muslims need to shed their hangups and victimhood and empower themselves by modern education and contribute towards the welfare of their community and eventually towards the nation.
All we need and ask for is political and religious equality. No INDIAN Muslim thinks about DAR-UL-ISLAM and stuff, you can just find it in speeches of Togadia and the likes of him. Muslims are not SECOND CLASS citizens in this country, we have as much right in INDIA as anybody else. I don't understand why some Hindu brothers keep insinuating that we should go to Pakistan, Jab Mulk taqseem hua uss waqt hum apnay watan ko chod kar nahi gaye tho ab hum kyun jayengay. Just keep in mind that a lot of people keep converting to Islam, the last Prophet was sent with a final MESSAGE for the whole of Mankind, as a mercy from GOD. DeleteIf 5000 plus people were actually missing then the Congress managed CBI would have found out about it. Not only does Congress hate Modi but also fear him because he may actually dethrone Rahul. So you can believe the figures to your heart's content but the whole genocide stuff is very farfetched. If that were really true then we would have seen and exodus of Muslims from Gujarat to UP or Bihar or Bengal or any of those progressive secular states. YouTube and the rest of the internet are filled with conspiracy theories. If you believe them all then you are sentencing yourself to a lot of pain and misery.
Of course in our unfortunate nation, there is no justice. All the Hindus killed in incidents like Moplah andolan are not even mentioned in our history books. All the killing that happened during Mughal rule are glossed over in the name of secularism. Out of the 2000 killed in Gujarat, one third were Hindus. At least three of our major temples are now mosques. We are living with that.
Justice will get done in the afterlife.
Anyway, I am going to give you the last word. It is quite obvious that you are very strict and stringent in your beliefs.

DeleteHaseeb seems to be a hard core Islamic fanatic / fundamentalist and also an adherent follower of Zakir Naik. People like him, indoctrinated with the “Holier than thou” philosophy are the true hypocrites. These are the folks who are under constant compulsion to defend their conversion to a foreign religion. Their vigorous / aggressive defense, calling their religion peaceful and beautiful clearly portrays the subdued frustration in coming to terms with the ground reality of the effects of its preaching. It’s out there and the entire world is witnessing it. It must be tormenting and challenging at the same time having to conceal the truth, disguise as a secular and lie that all religions are equal and preach the same. Living with such a persecution complex must be really stressful. As Modi says this extremist attitude is the root cause of the entire problem. The true Hindu belief is as the Rig Veda verse says”Ekam Sat, Viprah Bahudha Vadanti” i.e. “God is one but there are different ways to attain HIM”. Cannot have an intellectual discussion with such biased religious fanatics who are blindfolded, brain washed and do not believe in reason or rational. This post has called the bluff on the majority within the so called secular minority community.

I have never met a Muslim or a Christian who after a while did not try to convert me. That behavior is only possible if you think that people of other religions do not know the right path and need help. This sense of superiority is instilled in them from childhood. They may not even know that they are committing the sin of vanity but that is neither here nor there. The sooner the Hindus realize it the faster we will be able to set the terms for a peaceful living in India where the Muslims will shed their petulant victimhood and join the mainstream (that is a common complaint of all the European countries with Muslim migrants). Now our friend shows signs of a good formal education but also the prevalent mentality. Ghettoism is going to continue and we will be mired in the same old mess.
